The Notorious RBG, Irin Carmon & Shana Knizhnik
There is a story about how Ruth Bader Ginsburg made Bill Clinton cry, and that is really why I pre-ordered the book.

The MaddAdam Trilogy, by Margaret Atwood
- Oryx and Crake
- I have to admit that I just recently read this, and it made me sick and upset, nauseated even, but it was also funny and beautifully written, so what do you do with a book like that? I'm teetering on the edge of starting The Year of the Flood, or abandoning the trilogy altogether.
- The Year of the Flood
- MaddAddam ("EXTINCTATHON, Monitored by MaddAddam. Adam named the living animals, MaddAddam names the dead ones. Do you want to play?").
Just some ideas. Let's all put our suggestions up here.
Well, I downloaded the audible.com version of The Year of the Flood, so I guess I'm going all the way.
ReplyDeleteI want to read Blind Assassin. I didn't read it when we read it.
Blind Assassin was good, but I don't think it's Atwood's best work (and I really, really like her). Let's pick a book from Literary Women and read that one before the event. :)
ReplyDeleteDidn't we go to see her at UCLA? #underwhelming
